About Newbie Trainer |
| Newbie Trainer was founded in 1999. We started
off as a Beta Counterstrike server and have progressed through the years
to feature three Counterstrike Source servers. Newbie
Trainer is not so much of a clan as it is a group of friends that love
the game and camaraderie that comes from the game. Our ages range
from 18 years old up to 68 years old (Gramps), and we have an average
age of about 35 year old players. Newbie Trainer is not a CAL or
OGL associated team, but we do have many players that do participate in
other teams for CAL and OGL.
Don't let the name "Newbie" fool you. We are not a newbie server. Many of the people who play here are very experienced CSS players (sometimes some are too experienced), but we accept all levels of skill. If your skill is so great, there may be times when you are asked to downgrade weapons to keep the playing field fair. We do not appreciate people dominating the field and running people off our servers. Our two standard servers utilize a sniper restrict mod that will restrict sniper weapons after a team's score is five or more ahead. This helps keep the playing field even and the game enjoyable for all. Newbie Trainer is considered a PG (slanted more towards G) rated server. We do not condone foul language, pornography, and/or religious/political talk. We like to keep the game enjoyable for all who come here (aside from the trouble makers), which helps to set us apart from other servers. Newbie Trainer has over 40 active admins to help keep the servers stay in order. Our forums are a hot spot for game information and general knowledge & banter between our members and regular players. The forum serves as a good medium to get to know the people you are playing with and develop friendships. As with any forum though, parental involvement is advised for our under aged players. We try to keep things as clean as possible in the forums, but lets face it, this is the Internet.
